AUTOBIOGRAPHY
My Autobiography

My name is Lei, and this is the story of my life. I was born on March 26, 2004, and I am the seventh child among my siblings. Growing up in a big family taught me many lessons about patience, responsibility, and perseverance. My childhood was filled with simple but unforgettable memories. I attended kindergarten at Magsaysay Daycare Center and later studied at Magsaysay Elementary School, where I met many friends and experienced both fun and challenges as a young student. Even though the school was only one house away from our home, I still often arrived late to class. One of my most memorable experiences during elementary was secretly going outside the classroom with classmates just to buy and eat turon. Those small moments made my childhood exciting and meaningful.
As I grew older, I continued my studies at School of Saint Joseph Parish Naguilian for junior high school. During my four years there, I became a consistent honor student. Studying was not always easy, but I worked hard because I wanted to make my family proud and build a better future for myself. My junior high school years became one of the most important parts of my life because they helped me become more disciplined, determined, and responsible.
After finishing junior high school, I entered senior high school during one of the most difficult periods in recent history—the pandemic. The years 2020 to 2021 were full of uncertainty and challenges for everyone. Classes shifted online, people were forced to stay inside their homes, and life suddenly changed. For me, the pandemic became even more painful because it was during this time that my father passed away.
Losing my father was one of the hardest experiences I have ever faced. His death deeply affected me emotionally and mentally. There were many days when I felt lost, empty, and hopeless. I struggled with depression and found it difficult to stay motivated while dealing with grief and the changes brought by the pandemic. Sometimes, I questioned myself and wondered how life could suddenly become so heavy. Despite all the pain, I continued fighting because I knew my father would want me to keep moving forward and never give up on my dreams. Even though life became difficult, I was still able to finish senior high school and graduate during the school year 2020–2021. Graduating during such a painful and uncertain time became one of my greatest achievements because I knew how hard I fought just to continue my studies. That experience taught me resilience and reminded me that no matter how difficult life becomes, people can still rise and continue moving forward.
After graduating from senior high school, I did not immediately continue to college. I stopped studying for two years because of personal and family reasons. During those years, I often felt insecure and pressured whenever I saw other people continuing their education while I stayed behind. I questioned my future many times and wondered if I would still have the chance to continue my studies someday. However, those years also became a time for growth and self-discovery. I learned that life is not a race and that everyone has their own timeline and journey. In 2024, I finally decided to continue my education and entered college. I took up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a major in Web and Mobile Application Development. Returning to school after stopping for two years was not easy. I was nervous and afraid that I might not be able to adjust anymore. However, as time passed, I slowly regained my confidence and became more comfortable in my new environment.
The year 2024 became even more meaningful because I was elected as one of the SK Kagawads in our barangay. Being chosen to serve the community at a young age became both an honor and a responsibility for me. Through this experience, I learned how important leadership, teamwork, and service are in helping other people. As an SK Kagawad, I gained confidence in communicating with different individuals and participating in activities that could help the youth in our barangay. This role also taught me that even young people can make a difference if they are willing to serve sincerely and responsibly. My first year in college became one of the happiest and most unforgettable chapters of my life. I met new friends who eventually became my closest circle until now. Together, we shared laughter, stress, sleepless nights, and unforgettable memories. Their presence made my college life more enjoyable and meaningful. They helped me adjust to college life and reminded me that having good friends can make difficult situations easier to overcome.
College also became a stage where I experienced many new things and discovered more about myself. One of those experiences was learning how to drink alcohol for the first time. It may seem like a simple experience to others, but for me, it symbolized entering a new phase of life and slowly experiencing adulthood. Along with fun moments came responsibilities and lessons that helped me become more mature and independent. Now, I am currently a second-year college student and preparing to become a third-year student after finishing my midyear classes. Looking back on my journey, I realized that my life has never been perfect, but every challenge helped shape the person I am today. From becoming an honor student, surviving the pain of losing my father, fighting depression during the pandemic, stopping school for two years, becoming an SK Kagawad, and finally returning to college, every experience became an important part of my story.
I may have faced many struggles, but I am proud of how far I have come. The difficulties I experienced taught me patience, resilience, and strength. I learned that life will always have obstacles, but giving up should never be an option. Today, I continue to dream not only for myself but also for my family. I know there are still many challenges waiting for me in the future, but I believe that with determination, hard work, and faith in myself, I will eventually achieve my goals and become successful someday. My story is still continuing, and I know there are still many lessons and experiences waiting for me ahead. No matter how difficult life becomes, I will continue moving forward and fighting for the future that I want to achieve.
